The large clippers work much better for me than the small.
"These clippers were sent to me as a replacement because I was disappointed and dissatisfied with the smaller version. I found the smaller one’s opening too narrow for me to easily place around my fingernails and were impossible to use on my toenails unlike a previous small pair I was trying to replace for myself. Also, the smaller ones did not leave my fingernails smooth…all ten were left with rough edges that needed further filing down. This larger model does the trick for all twenty digits and I didn’t need to use a nail file afterwards so that says a lot. They are not too heavy, feel good in my hands and were easy to squeeze for the cuts. I did not receive the case so I cannot comment on that. I was also sent a pair of the large clippers (Item # 4716-3472 GERMANIKURE Large toenail clipper with cork case ) that are straight across rather than curved cutting edges and those could be good for ingrown nails or if you like your nails cut straight across."
