This GERmanikure crystal glass file is handcrafted in the Czech Republic from thick Bohemian glass and specially formulated and tempered against breaking. Unlike thinner cheap imitations where the file may break or texture may eventually scrape or even peel off like a sticker the texture on this file is chemically etched directly into the 3mm thick glass and is impossible to wear off. Chemical etching gently removes a portion of the surface of the file leaving behind random yet evenly placed rounded peaks. As a result this file can actually be used either wet or dry in both directions without causing microscopic frays and gouges on either nails or cuticles.Use the file as a meditative tool as you shape your nails. The subtle sandblasting on the handle has a delicate texture to help remind you to center your thoughts.
Seal the Nail Surface
Nail files with a grit added to the surface exhibit sharp peaks and irregular valleys in the texture that can gouge or scratch the nail surface. GERmanikure Czech glass nail files are crafted with a uniform surface texture that results in a smooth polished nail edge that reduces the risk of cracking and delamination. Don't sand your nails seal them.
Hygienic and Sterilizable
Glass cleans up easily with simple soap and water and is durable enough to hold up to a chemical bath or steam sterilizer (up to 170 degrees Celsius).

Dual Direction Filing
Unlike single direction files that "sand" the nail a crystal glass nail file seals the edge of the nail with every stroke regardless whether that stroke is backwards forwards or a combination of both. Even though this thick bohemian glass file is crafted of the finest hardened Czech crystal and designed to last for decades GERmanikure goes a step further. This file comes complete with a custom fitted suede sleeve to provide additional protection. Suede is naturally cushioning and dehumidifying. The case will prevent damage to the file when it is not in use as well as additional shock absorption in case the file is accidentally dropped when not in use.

So nice for thin, fragile nails
"I had tried glass nail files in the past and was very disappointed in how the abrasive material disappeared after a few uses so they were not worth the cost. Based on the reviews, I ordered this file and it is completely different. As described, the filing surface is embedded in the file, not added to the surface, so it does not wear off. The filing is gentle and clean, leaves a very smooth surface. My nails are thin and tear easily, so the gentle filing is so much nicer than the highly abrasive metal files or even emery boards. The leather sleeve is a good addition to protecting the file. I will be getting more so I can have one where ever I need one. The inspirational phrase is almost impossible to read but that does not affect the great quality of this file."
Great sturdy file. Good for both filing down and finishing on natural nails.
"Saw these on a nail blog and so many people had commented on how good they are that I had to try for myself.The "grit" on these is actually a pattern etched into the glass, so you're not going to have it wear out. The file will take your nails down fairly quickly but the grinding is so fine that you don't end up with an edge that needs to be smoothed with another file after you are done with this one. I have natural nails, so I can't comment on how they would work on artificial ones.First, the reviews for these are scattered all over the place as there are separate listings for each of the etched sayings. I bought two different ones an am posting the same review on both.The file itself is pretty sturdy. I'm sure if you dropped it on a concrete floor it could break, but the glass is fairly thick and I don't expect to have any breakage problems from normal use. The leather holder is well-made too. Seems like it will hold up for a long time.I've pretty much abandoned the other files I've been using as this file does such a nice job all by itself. I'm very impressed with the function and quality."
